It’s been a while Part 3

So this is part three of the recap installment.  Check the previous two post for the earlier parts of the pictorial recap.

First up, in mid July, is a Peruvian festival the family got a chance to check out.  The food was great and it was good to see so much Peruvian food in one place.

In early August we got a chance to have a mini staycation in downtown Los Angeles.  On the first afternoon we checked out the exhibit at the MOCA.

Updated and now mobile

The blog has officially gone mobile. I am writing to you from my iPhone in a mom and pop Peruvian restaurant in the valley called Las Quenas. I updated the version of Wordpress the blog is running and downloaded the WP iPhone app. So beware, now I can blog from anywhere. Hopefully this means more posts.

Fun Family Friday in Downtown

A little behind on this post, but had that chance to see Eva Ayllon at the Walt Disney Concert Hall last weekend. The family and I went to Colori Kitchen for dinner before the concert. Really cozy place and the food was tasty. Bring your own wine.

The Walt Disney Concert Hall was amazing. Eva Ayllon is a famous Peruvian salsa singer; one of my moms favorites. She has a great voice and sounded wonderful with the great acoustics at the hall. It was a fun family friday night out in downtown Los Angeles.

The Hard (and Organic) Sell

Another three day weekend is coming to a close; Presidents Day. Could totally go for one more day off. Always left wondering where the time goes. All we can do now is sit back and reflect.

To start out the weekend Sandy and I had a terrible dining experience at the Peruvian restaurant Don Felix in Los Feliz. The food and service was horrible; never going back. Anyways, after dinner we headed down to the Wiltern to watch DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist perform the Hard Sell. We went the the Hollywood Bowl show and this one was better. They sounded great and seemed like they were having fun.

The next day Sandy wanted to check out a new organic grocery store that recently opened in Eagle Rock called Fresh & Easy. We ran some errands and did some shopping during the day, then ended up the afternoon at Fresh & Easy.

After the grocery store pit stop we headed to my moms for dinner with the family. While I was there I was able to take a couple shots of the front console on the mustang. Sitting in that car took me back!
